About customer
Bank CenterCredit (BCC), a key player in Kazakhstan's banking sector, partnered with Awara IT to deliver an ambitious project: to go beyond a simple internal merch store and build a comprehensive employee motivation platform.
Challenges and solutions
Recognizing the growing demand for modern HR solutions in Kazakhstan’s fintech landscape and drawing on best practices in digital transformation, BCC aimed to adopt innovative approaches to workforce management.
The primary goal was to boost employee engagement, strengthen a culture of mutual support, and improve staff motivation and performance.
BCC’s request was comprehensive: rather than just developing a merch store, they needed a fully functional module integrated with their existing internal portal, WebSoft. While WebSoft already included functionality for earning internal gamified currency and completing corporate training, it lacked the means for employees to spend those points.
The new platform needed to:
- create and manage engagement activities,
- convert activities into tasks
- assign tasks to all employees or specific teams,
- reward internal currency for task completion, and
- most importantly, provide a convenient way for employees to redeem points for merchandise, bonuses, or services via a digital store.
-
A mobile-friendly version was a critical requirement to ensure ease of access and usability.
The key challenge was integration — seamless synchronization of user and currency data between the new platform and the existing WebSoft environment was essential.
The Awara IT team developed and implemented a unified solution using Microsoft Power Platform. The platform combines a robust motivation engine for task management with a modern merch store, allowing employees to spend earned “corporate currency” within a single ecosystem.
A major milestone was the successful integration with WebSoft, ensuring data consistency regarding employee points.
Dedicated training sessions and detailed user guides were delivered for both administrators and end users, enabling self-sufficient operation of the system.
The final element of the solution was the development of a convenient mobile version, ready for rollout upon client approval.
Results
- The platform is actively used by approximately 1,000 BCC employees, with 150–200 merch and bonus orders placed daily, reflecting high engagement levels
- Employees eagerly complete tasks and support their colleagues, highlighting the platform's usability and motivational value
- BCC successfully met its staff motivation goals and has positioned itself as a leader in the digital transformation of Kazakhstan’s fintech sector.
The project is ongoing, with the bank currently exploring opportunities to expand the platform’s functionality in future phases.
