Weitnauer Distribution migration into the cloud Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC

Founded as a Swiss tobacco wholesaler in 1865 in Basel, Weitnauer has since developed into one of the leading distributors with clients over 4 continents Europe, America, Africa, and Central Asia. In 2015 the company was proudly celebrating its 150th anniversary.

The main challenge was to implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in the cloud from the previous on-premises solution within the shortest time frame and make it fully in line with local specifics. The system is used in Switzerland and Italy, including warehouses.

Awara IT implemented the Swiss localization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC. The solution is fully compliant with local accounting specifics and Swiss customs regulations. The system is used by multilingual professionals, adapted to German, French, Italian, and English-speaking users, and can be used from anywhere.

The upgraded solution has improved system performance. It is efficient and gives a lot of new opportunities for the future digital projects of the company as well as new opportunities for cooperation with suppliers and clients.
