The Microsoft Learn AI Skills Challenge Marathon on artificial intelligence will be held in Almaty from July 31 to August 14, organized by Astana Hub and Awara IT.
According to the International Data Corporation, global spending on the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies (including the cost of software, hardware, and related services) in 2023 will reach $154 billion. This represents a 26.9% growth compared to 2022. Moreover, major analytical companies estimate that the global market for AI technologies will reach an impressive $1.76 trillion by 2030.
- Machine Learning: Challenges and Tasks (Machine Learning Challenge).

Tanat Uskembayev, Director of Astana Hub's Corporate Innovation Office, emphasized that the marathon aims to expand the knowledge of all participants in the field of AI, regardless of their level of training and experience. The Microsoft Learn AI Skills Challenge is an educational initiative aimed at promoting the development of competencies in artificial intelligence. Participants will delve into various aspects of AI, from machine learning to cognitive services, and learn how to apply artificial intelligence in diverse applications and tasks.
Mikhail Nam, General manager, Awara IT Kazakhstan, expressed their goal of elevating the competence level of Kazakhstani individuals in IT and AI. Marathon Program:
- July 29, from 10:00 to 12:00: Open day and the beginning of independent work. Participants can familiarize themselves with the marathon program, receive information about upcoming tasks, and access training materials.
- August 5, from 10:00 to 19:00: Independent work on training tasks with the support of experienced IT experts. During this day, participants will work on their assignments and lab work, with the opportunity to seek help and advice from experienced experts.
- August 14, from 14:00 to 18:00: Completion of the training marathon, networking, exchange of ideas, and announcement of rewards.
