A manufacturer of chemical reagents saves resources with Microsoft Dynamics NAV

About client Mirriko Group is a group of production and service companies that manufacture and supply chemical reagents, provide engineering support to customers on the application of chemical solutions and maintenance services. The group of companies has 6 divisions and business units which are divided into financial responsibility centers/cost centers. Background Purchasing, production, and logistics are done centrally and separated into individual logistics and supply centers (LSC). Purchasing, production, and logistics planning is based on the sales orders processed by the business units. Since the business units and LSC are different legal entities, this gives rise to an intercompany purchase and sale chain. Based on the sales orders processed by the business units, LSC plans production, purchases, and transfers considering the clear balances of already placed production and purchase orders. Prior to the deployment of Microsoft Dynamics, a sales order was created and processed separately semi-manually. The balances were analyzed, while reserves and orders for production, transfers and purchase were created. The possibility of using goods from other business units was considered. Given that Mirriko Group owns two manufacturing facilities and uses dozens of third-party production sites and warehouses with a global reach, such planning did not allow optimally organizing the supply chains. Moreover, the same product could be manufactured at different production sites, and raw materials were delivered to these sites from different sources. This, in the end, greatly affected production cost and delivery times. The Awara IT team had to offer a solution that would save the client’s resources and time. Solution and results The economic performance of Mirriko Group almost instantly improved after the implementation of this project. After the deployment of Dynamics NAV, the client was able to plan each option for the production and delivery of goods to choose the optimal one in order to save time and cut logistics costs. Key tasks for the client’s business were completed: Functions were developed for intercompany chains: inventory management, supply tracking, change broadcasting to both sides of the chain, automatic accounting upon shipment from warehouse; Regenerative planning was introduced and improved: Mirriko group receives already at the planning stage cost estimates for the selected production planning option. The production plan and purchase plan can be changed when new requirements arise. Key deals are recorded, order completion dates can be managed and rescheduled; A function allowing to plan production options considering the costs of transport and procurement of components and extra costs was developed. Comparison and selection of the optimal production and delivery option, planning considering selected routes планирование с учетом выбранных маршрутов, plan/actual cost analysis, operational control over prices and delivery options; Introduction of planning of inventory in service contracts. Storage and use of specifications, production order creation and modification, recording of the actual consumption of components while drilling, visualization of well-drilling program; Simplified web interfaces were created for warehouses and production. Users started working in the system on various devices; A notification system was developed to reduce users’ response time to events; Integration with Directum EDMS

Customer Enapter – designs and manufactures highly efficient hydrogen generators. Enapter’s AEM electrolysers are deployed in over 33 countries, revolutionizing the way that energy is used in the transport, residential and industrial sectors. Background The hydrogen is named as the fuel of the future. The only problem that stops fast green hydrogen expansion is price compared with existing fossil fuels. That is why green energy producers target to decrease cost of hydrogen to the level of fossil fuels by decreasing the CAPEX cost for equipment and start mass production. It is critical for them to use the most optimal approaches and solutions. Enapter collects data from numerous sensors and equipment, another step is to get and analyze these data on time. Equipment should be absolutely safe, and it was important to monitor even minor changes. Enapter is an ambitious and tech-savvy company that has already used Ruby on Rails, Timescale DB, Docker, and other technologies to meet its business processes requirements. Though only a unified Azure platform has become the optimal solution. Awara IT estimations show that using proprietary solutions together with Azure could save up to 2 years from development to time-to-market.

Real estate investor and developer manages investment resources with D365FO

The implementation of Ghelamco’s Russian business unit was a joint effort of Ad Ultima Group and Awara IT, with Awara IT supporting Russian localization implementation.  Starting from January 1, 2020, all transactions are entered into Dynamics 365 FO on the base of  the Russian localization functionality to build all taxation and financial reports from the system. Kazakhmys copper giant uses Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations

Kazakhmys corporation implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. The project was launched in May 2019. In less than 8 months Kazakhmys was provided with solution design, functionality go-live and training for over 1300 employees. Awara IT became implementation partner in this project. First project stage consisted finances and logistics automation, including accounting, warehouse, purchases and sales, contractor activities, trade operations, as well as integration with external systems and platforms of state authorities. On January 1st, 2020 the system was launched and later on May 1st, 2020 it was decided to start a full-scale commercial operation. Project is expanding and currently reporting and further implementation stages are discussed. This is the very first world’s and biggest cloud Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations localization project in CEE. Kazakhmys is the biggest copper producer in Kazakhstan, leading international company in sphere of mining and development of natural resources. Copper operations are fully integrated from mining ore through to the production of finished copper cathode and rod. The company also produces gold and silver bullions, lead dust, sulphuric acid, selenium and cuprous telluride.

Reynaers Aluminium uses Power BI reports to optimize business processes

Customer Reynaers Aluminium is a leading European specialist in the development and marketing of innovative and sustainable aluminium solutions. The company operates in 40 countries with annual turnover of 400 mln Euros.  Energy saving and environment are one of the key principles of Reynaers Aluminium operations.   Background Reynaers Aluminum tracked deadlines and results in oversaturated Excel files. This product was not sufficient to control and correct the time from the date of creation to the date of shipment a product to the customer. In addition, it was necessary to control and plan the workload of each production site. Excel was also used to summarize corporate results and it complicated and slowed down many processes. Additional task was to promptly prepare reports on the plan-fact of the previous and future periods. Microsoft Power BI became the most appropriate solution that, unlike Excel, could provide a clear and simple access to all important information. Awara IT consultants prepared a general corporate report, and a report for colouring and assembling stages. Report data was collected from various Excel files in accordance to specified internal logic.   Results Power BI report allowed to significantly reduce time for planning the workload of the Reynaers Aluminum production facility. Now employees in the supply or sales departments track every order and line item along the production path. Reynaers’ employee need less time to control and plan the timing of the product at each stage of production. This allows you to predict the time of production of similar orders, to identify and eliminate production errors that slow down the process.
