In partnership with Deloitte, Awara IT has become a provider for Microsoft Dynamics NAV implementation for a global hardware distributor. Project included migration from 1C: Accounting to Microsoft Dynamics NAV with additional developments related to VAT and prepayments, proprietary Awara IT developments that improve initial NAV functionality.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV has been chosen due to terms and conditions of the global implementation project for the end customer and NAV integration with the shared document processing center. The project was initiated by Deloitte’s Beliduim representative office.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV has become unified platform for the operations in Russia. We have taken into account numerous specifics of the Russian accounting standards as well. In order to gather both accounting and management reporting in one system, we have implemented several Deloitte’s addons that were used within this project in other countries. Data exchange between NAV and shared document processing center were also implemented with global Deloitte’s developments.
Awara IT team presented elaborate business process and financial operations analysis. We prepared changes on the chart of accounts required by the US GAAP reporting and accounting. According to requirements analysis it was recommended to implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV with additional developments related to VAT and prepayments.
As an important part of this project we have provided tailored training for customer’s accounting team that have never used Microsoft Dynamics NAV before.
All accounting processes are carried in accordance with the Russian accounting standards. Everyday operations with Microsoft Dynamics NAV are now significantly simplified and the team is now operating more effectively. Microsoft Dynamics NAV upgrade took several stages while the customer was using the system in Shadowing mode, with accounting operations made both in the new and previous systems. That approach helped accountants gain practical skills needed for effective work with Dynamics NAV. Results could be compared according to internal expectations and Russian accounting standards as well.
One of the best results achieved was provided reporting based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
Audit followed implementation project and changes made into the standard functionality, showed positive results with no claims to reporting quality and control.
